Yes — version 1.0 is out. Download it free for Windows 10 and 11, or get it from the Microsoft Store. Every local feature works with no account and no payment. The $8/month Pro subscription unlocks cloud sharing and is live too. We ship updates fast — the app tells you when a new version is out.
Both. PixelCopy targets Windows 10 (version 1903 and later) and Windows 11. Modern capture paths use the WinRT Windows.Graphics.Capture API; older Win10 builds fall back to DXGI Desktop Duplication. Both x64 and ARM64 are in scope.
Windows has had two ends of the spectrum: free utilities that do one thing each (Snipping Tool, Greenshot, Lightshot, ShareX) and the $60+ Snagit. Yes. Pro is tied to your account, not a specific machine. Sign in on as many of your own Windows PCs as you reasonably use — laptop, desktop, work machine. Reinstalling Windows, swapping a motherboard, building a new PC: just sign in again.
All of them live in your account. Sign in at pixelcopy.app/account — no password, just a magic link sent to your email — and you'll see every capture you've shared from any PC as a thumbnail grid. From there you can copy a link again, set it to expire, watch its view count, or delete it for good. The same links also stay in the app's History.
PixelCopy checks for new versions automatically and pulls updates straight from the official, code-signed GitHub release. You'll see a prompt when one is ready, and there is a manual Check for updates button in Settings → About with the current version always shown. No installer hunting, no stale builds.
Your existing shared links keep working — nothing breaks under you. You just can't upload anything new once the paid period ends. Local files on your PC are untouched either way — they live in your folder of choice, always. Cancel any time from the billing portal link in your license email.
Yes. Both the PixelCopy executable and the installer are signed with Mako Logics LLC's Authenticode certificate via Azure Trusted Signing — Windows SmartScreen sees a known publisher, not a yellow warning. PixelCopy is also published on the Microsoft Store, where it passed Microsoft's own certification review. The app uses Windows-native APIs for capture and stores nothing on our servers unless you're on Pro and choose to upload.
